I’ve had a major love for snake skin print, but could never find just the right kind that truly suited my style. Until I found this little cardigan. It’s not just any snakeskin print, it’s this kind. It’s subtle and understated, but still there, peeking through. This fall calls for fabulous understated animal prints, and I love the muted grey and black tones of this one. Since black goes with just about anything, pair it with.. well .. just about anything, and you’ve got an amazing look on your hands!
Remember how in that last article how I mentioned my major obsession with this seasons winter coats. Well I just can’t stop. This outfit is preppy youngster meets seasoned sailor and it’s too die for. Try mixing and matching items that come from different backgrounds, like boho meets chic, or rocker meets classy english lady sipping tea. If it’s done right you’ll always end up with killer looks that totally stand out.
I have a major obsession with all things winter and wonderful at the moment. Over the knee boots, oversized coats, soft super cozy sweaters, macchiatos and so on. I naturally created the outfit to trump all winter outfits, in my mind at least. When you’re sweater shopping this season, try find that slightly fluffy, super super soft sweater and pair it with grungier denim.
I’m not sure about nations abroad, but here in good ole ‘Merica we do love our flannels. It’s the perfect combination of crisp fall weather, orange and red leaves, misty mountains, cold oceans and total coziness. Weather you’re male or female, you own a few of these. As much as I love my flannel and leggings combo, I decided I needed to spice up some outfits and show a flannel how to. I wore mine with black skinny’s, a precious kitten heel and a moto inspired jacket with a large structured bag. This way you don’t lose the coziness and patriotism but you also look fit for the city.
We all struggle with that one morning in the week where we have no idea what to throw on our bodies. Everything seems silly, or simple, or we’re just simply not in the mood. What I love about this look is that its easy to transition from day to night, it’s easy and comfortable to wear and mostly appropriate for any situation. Were you to be in the office you could simple throw on a pair of black heels and a blazer.
When fashion week rolls around all the fashionistas and style lovers around the world stand to attention. It’s the buzz; the models, the designers, the fabulous garments, the street style, it’s New York. It’s the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. I love seeing what the people of New York will dish out when it comes to outfits, remembering that the weather has been absolutely frigid and that sometimes you just really want to stay warm and cozy. Suffice to say, there were those few outfits you winced at (the white thread bare top with no bra situation? Um.. what.) and those that we drooled over. These are the ones we drooled over!
The trends I’m loving most are the short fur coat, thigh high boots and big hats. Total lux, but total comfort. I also loved Karlie Kloss’ cape, it’s a great garment to dress with and will class up any outfit. Pair it with a blouse and light skinny jeans and pointy toe pumps. You’ll have a killer look thats totally timeless and well put together.
Have fun experimenting with your closet and garments and don’t be afraid to take risks! Sometimes it takes that extra effort to glam it up but the effort is so worth it.
